AJAY BINAY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - PILOO MODY COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE is located on an enchanting landscaped setting characterized by its lustrous and pale green stretch of land on the bank of River Kathjori and is spread over 10 acres of land in Sector-1, C.D.A. of Cuttack. Piloo Mody College of Architecture is the first self financed institution in  eastern India, imparting architecture education.It is approved by Council of Architecture, New Delhi and affiliated to Biju Pattnaik University of Technology(BPUT), Rourkela.

PMCA was established in 1993.

Institutional Objectives:
  • To focus on the teaching learning process in imparting a meaningful  education to assess the contemporary needs of design and construction of buildings.
  • To educate students to design and develop socio-culturally acceptable, economically feasible and sustainable built-environment.
  • To finally use the knowledge and skills for the benefit of mankind.





Classes for  3rd, 5th & 7th semester shall resume from 9th of July 2018. This is for the information of all concerned.


All students who have failed in Sessional subjects of 2nd, 4th and 6th sem are hereby informed to register for the backpaper between 2nd to 9th of July 2018. They have to show their progress to the respective subject teachers and appear for the Vivas on the 20th and 21st of July 2018.




Piloo Mody College of Architecture welcomes all the freshers of 2017-2018 batch to the ORIENTATION PROGRAM on the 18th & 19th of August 2017. Hostel reporting will be on the 17th of August' 2017.



Congratulations to Reksona Panda for receiving University Gold Medal for securing the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) amongst all Architecture Graduates for 2014-15 Batch in BPUT.

Congratulations to Rupsha Chakraborty for winning the first prize in Technical Report Writing Skill competition on the theme “Human Brain and Machine Interface for 21st Century Research”, conducted by Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela on 4 Mar 2016. Over 100 colleges of BPUT were invited and participated in the competition.

Congratulations to Debapriyo Chatterjee of 7TH semester and MANAS DAS of 5th semester for their stupendous effort in putting up a MURAL in BPUT Campus, Rourkela on the 4th of October. The college is proud of their achievement and hereby put our hands together for the duo

Pritam Dey of the 2015 batch of graduates of the college has been adjudged the Zonal topper (Zone 2) at the recently concluded 10th UG Zonal Thesis Awards Programme of NIASA, the academic unit of Council of Architecture. The event saw participation from 16 Architecture colleges from the eastern and central zone. Besides Pritam Dey, two other of our students – Sandipan Chatterjee and Arka Basu of the 2015 batch made it to the top 10 in the preliminary jury of the same event, organised at Om Dayal College of Engineering and Architecture, Uluberia on 13-Aug-2015.
